the bathroom

bathroom1.jpg

The builders have arrived all ready to start ripping
the bathroom apart and I haven't even gotten
around to emptying out the vanity. I can't believe
that I'm never going to 'lose' stuff in this blasted
thing again. (it's amazing what I found in here!!)

bathroom2.jpg

bye bye bath......

bathroom3.jpg

bye bye shower......

bathroom4.jpg

I'm never going to have to try and clean that ugly
shower door again!

bathroom5.jpg

Hello mess!

I guess we won't be trying to sell the old vanity
after all. It had to be pulled to pieces to get it out
of the room 'cose it sure as heck wouldn't fit
through the door. So much for that great plan,
heaven knows how it got in there in
the first place!

bathroom6.jpg

Look.....that ugly carpet has finally gone and.......
the shower wall is gone too.

bathroom7.jpg

I suppose digging up the floor has to be the next
logical step.

It's quite a large room when it's got nothing in it and
removing the shower wall that used to be there
has made it even larger!

bathroom8.jpg

The new vanity and bath go here.

bathroom9.jpg

The new shower, here.

bathroom10.jpg

A full days work and the ceiling and half the walls
are in place. The plumber has been and the bath
'spout' and mixer are installed.

See.....that's where the wall was.
You can see where the shower floor has
been plastered.

bathroom11.jpg

You'll never guess what that tall hole in the wall is for.

bathroom12.jpg

Not just a mirror, but there's a cupboard behind here!

It's all starting to look rather posh now that the floor
has been laid.

bathroom13.jpg

The vanity's in place but not the plumbing yet,
and look.......another cupboard for electric
toothbrushes!

bathroom14.jpg

I looooove that new bath!!!!!
(I could keep heaps of goldfish in there if I had too. and they'd
love the waterfall effect that the new 'spout' makes too!)

bathroom15.jpg

Major mistake here!!!!

Somehow the shower has been installed a few
centimetres too small which means that the mirror
cabinet is no longer centred between the bath and
the shower wall.

Simple fix.............take the cabinet door away and
make one a few centimetres bigger!

bathroom16.jpg

So now I'm waiting for the cabinet door AND the
shower door.

Finally finished.
